'What the Seagull Dropped!"

The Big Draw 2008 in Fishguard was a great success with good community involvement.

Come and see the large seagull and printed zigzag books with each page displaying a new print of what the seagull might have dropped displayed in the Library Gallery for the rest of the month.

One of the themes for the Big Draw, this year, concentrates on book illustration.

Gwenno Dafydd opened our 'Coast Sea and Sky" Exhibition on the 22nd March, to a very appreciative crowd. Both the Selected and Open Exhibitions are full of excellent and enjoyable works showing that Fishguard Arts Society can hold it's own with any Exhibition of work anywhere. Gwenno sang unaccompanied the song she has written for St David's Day which has been adopted by the National Grid for Learning and the Welsh Assembly for our National Day.

The Exhibition in Fishguard junior School closed on April 3rd.

Sales were fair considering the early Easter and staggering of the holidays. Sitters generally enjoyed their stint and visitor numbers were relatively good with many positive and pleasing comments left by them.
