Film Open: Call for submissions
Oriel Myrddin Gallery
Information
Oriel Myrddin Gallery and West Wales School of the Arts in Carmarthen will be staging a split-centre selected show of film for a period of 1 month in March 2009. Oriel Myrddin Gallery invite submissions from filmmakers/artists who are living or working in Wales, or are Welsh. The title of the show will be ‘My Place’.
Submissions could include broad interpretations on the theme, from the personal to the political.
Submitted films must be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
Only one DVD submission per artist will be accepted, a single DVD can include up to three individual works. The films will be screened as a single channel projection in the main gallery within a showreel format.
Multi screen works cannot be accommodated at this time.
The selectors are: Karen MacKinnon, Peter Finnemore, Anthony Shapland
Submissions Checklist:
A pal DVD, formatted with a navigatable menu if it features more than one work, labelled clearly with your name and contact details
A CV
A short artists statement (50-100 words)
A completed Oriel Myrddin Gallery application form

Submission deadline is 31 October 2008 as postmark.
