The Big Draw and "Screen Shots" was excellent and the fabulous finished screen was on exhibition in the Fishguard Library Gallery until the 20th of October. More photos on Flickr under Fishguard Arts Society.

As part our part in the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Fishguard International Music Festival we have held three concerts in the Ballroom in Tregwynt Mansion for the Festival.

The Harp and Violin concert given by Verity and Giles Thirkettle, on Sunday, was greeted with rapturous applause. The audience and the performers thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon in the beautiful setting surrounded by our Summer Exhibition of work

 

This Wednesday at 5pm we had the fabulous St Davids String Quartet supported by the NightOut Scheme as was the concert given on Thursday at 3pm by the wonderful cellist, Richard Jenkinson, who played for us last year too. During the "RED" Exhibition Geoff Yeomans ran a very successful Masterclass combining drawing and drypoint etching.

As well as the Easter Exhibition in Fishguard during April the Society took an exhibition of members work in  'Cosmos in a CD case' to the Arton Gallery, Kyoto

Fishguard Arts Society’s Selected and Open Easter Exhibition

The headteacher of Ysgol Glannau Gwaun, Mr Ian Wilcox presented the £50 Judges' Prize to Andy Clay. Other prizes went to Tina Lummis and Joanne Taylor. Peter Kitney thanked the School on behalf of Fishguard Arts Society

Recent Workshop pieces from the Life Drawing Group

This was an interesting Exhibition by members of the Life Drawing Group which meet on Friday afternoons. This is not a class but a workshop providing a life, and sometimes portrait model for both professional and amateur Artists alike

All Done with Mirrors..altered Perceptions.

We took part in the Pembrokeshire Adult learners day. An enjoyable day to which a number of members came along giving a good opportunity to relate to the wider public. Photographs by Jake Whittaker.
