Contempory Sculpture Exhibition 2006

What a Fabulous Sculpture Exhibition at Parc Dan y Garn, Dinas Cross!
Sculptor members of the Fishguard Arts Society are currently exhibiting with, another member, Denys Short at his Sculpture park in Dinas Cross.
The trees and rocky outcrops make an interesting backdrop to show the range and beauty of the work.
The Exhibition was opened by Rod Williams, Chair of the Friends of Graham Sutherland, who with obvious enthusiasm spoke about the need to hold exhibitions to promote work in order that the work may be appreciated by wider audience, but also, how much benefit artists, who essentially often work in isolation, can enjoy the coming together with other artists and discussing and seeing their work in a tradition which is age old.
The Exhibition ran until 3rd September.

The Fishguard Arts Society 15th Artsfest, Town Show was opened on April 8th by Rose Harries owner of The Gallery, Gwaun Gift Shop, Fishguard. many members attended and it was an excellent evening.
Artists are exhibiting in shop windows all over Fishguard and Goodwick as well as in the Gallery, Gwaun Gift Shop and Theatr Gwaun.
Thirty eight premises, shops, offices and banks in the Fishguard and Goodwick area are participating this year. Lists of artists and venues are available in the Tourist Information Centre in the Library building.

The Artsfest Children's workshop was very successful and greatly appreciated by all the participants' Lizzie MacRae generated much fun with printing, painting and book making.
