Fishguard Arts Society and SeaTrust bring Pembrokeshire to BBC TV Coast Event in Cardiff
During the fun and chaos of Cardiffs Big
WeekendFishguard Arts Society and , Sea Trust Volunteers Catherine Davis,
Laura Fusco, Susan van den Nieuwenhuizen (Event Manager) and Cliff Benson, managed
to get SeaTrusts Coast's exhibit up and running as part of the the Open
University/ BBC Coast Event in the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff.
Fishguard Arts Society and SeaTrust brought a breath of fresh Pembrokeshire
sea air to the museum. With their own video footage of dolphins and coastal
inspired works of art on a 50 inch Plasma screen, the Dolphin Coast Concept
partnership made a big impression on visitors.
Fishguard Arts Society brought in a print workshop the idea being to gain information
through engagement in, for most, a new artistic activity and medium. This was
run by Carole King, Gaynor McMorrin and Glenn Ibbitson. Children and adults
designed colourful Dolphin Coast inspired prints to be made into a hanging where
possible. Sea Paintings by Geoff Yeomans, Andrea Kelland and Glenn Ibbitson
were exhibited in the main FAS area.
